Savannah Parks

Savannah:

Forsyth Park: This is by far my FAVORITE park to go to. right in the middle of the historic district, it is tucked just far enough away from downtown.  It has two play grounds, an amphitheater and plenty of grass space for all to enjoy. Every Saturday from 9am-2 pm the farmers market sets up on the Park Rd side.  Not only does the park host the farmers market it is home to many other events.  These events include Earth day, side walk chalk art by SCAD and much more! Not to mention this park is also right by my favorite coffee shop!

Fee: free

Daffin Park: If you are a baseball fan this is the park for you! Being the home of the Savannah Bananas baseball team.  This park also contains a dog park and walking/ running trail that circles the entire park.  Inside lays an astroturf soccer field and a few other playing fields in the grass.  Just like Forsyth it also contains plenty of fields for everyone to enjoy.

Fee: free

Skiddaway Island state park: This park has a few really pretty trails that run right along the marsh. About half way through the main one it contains a look out tower. You can ride bikes, hike or camp here.  For camping, they have tent or camper locations. This park also has an aquarium extension through UGA (University of Georgia).

fee: 5$ per car, 13-54 6$ for aquarium and 3-12 4$ while 2 and under are free admission
